Appointment of Adjudicator

Adjudicator is an individual who, because of his/her competency and integrity, is chosen by BAPMI's Management to examine and pass an award on relevant dispute. Although an Adjudicator is appointed by BAPMI's Management, the parties retain the right to refuse such appointment if the Adjudicator has a conflict of interest.

In contrast to BAPMI's Arbitration that allows appointing other people outside the list of BAPMI's Permanent Arbitrators as Arbitrators in a case (ad hoc Arbitrators), in Adjudication BAPMI's Management only appoint Adjudicators listed in BAPMI's Permanent Adjudicators only.

Adjudicators Requirements:
People who could be appointed by BAPMI's Management to be Adjudicators of BAPMI's Adjudication are those listed in the List of BAPMI's Permanent Adjudicators. In carrying out his/her duties, an Adjudicator must uphold the code of conduct, be fair, neutral and independent, free from any influence and pressure of any party, and free from conflicts of interest and affiliation, either with any of the disputing parties or with the relevant dispute. When these things are violated, the Adjudicator shall cease or be dismissed from his job.
